Americans will agree, God has blessed America. What we really should be saying is, "America, bless God."

Abraham Lincoln said, "We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God."

If that statement was true in Abraham Lincoln's day, how much more could it apply to us today! Think of the tremendous moral decline we've experienced over the past couple of decades.

The result is that, today, most Americans believe in God, but as the Bible says, we "draw near to Him with our lips, but our hearts are far from Him." (Isaiah 29:13)
